Celtics alums Guerschon Yabusele, Yam Madar’s teams get game canceled over brawl

[ad_1]

It seems that a pair of Boston Celtics alumni found themselves on the opposite side of the European version of a (much more subdued) Malice in the Palace on Thursday, with a match between Spanish club Real Madrid and Belgrade-based ball club KK Partizan.

One of the Celtics’ stashed floor generals, Israeli point guard Yam Madar watched as his team erupted into an all-out brawl with formerly stashed Boston big man Guerschon Yabusele ending up in the thick of things, most notably when he body-slammed fellow ex-NBAer Dante Exum to the hardwood.

The Dancing Bear — as Yabusele is called — and the acts of others as the fight spiraled out of control caused the match to be canceled by the officials things got so bad (h/t to BasketNews).

You can see it quickly escalate from players from each team taking issue with contact near the perimeter that appears to have been called for a foul.

But players from both sides got involved in the scrum too fast for the refs to calm the incident down.

For a closer view of Yabu’s Suplex on poor Dante, check out the tweet below.

No word at present if further action will be taken with the players involved.
